CBT for children and teenagers in Paris
Children and teenagers can go through difficult times too: fears, anxiety, overwhelming emotions, problems at school or with others.
CBT works well with young people: it is practical and structured, and gives them tools they can use quickly. Parents are involved in the work, depending on age and situation.
What it can help with
- Anxiety, fears, worries, phobias.
- Emotions that are hard to handle: anger, sadness, frustration.
- Trouble with focus, organisation or procrastination, including with ADHD.
- Self-esteem and lack of confidence.
- Difficulties at school or with friends, isolation.
- Adjusting to change: moving house, separation, a new school.
How it works
A first appointment with the parents and the child or teenager helps us understand the situation and what everyone hopes for. We then set clear goals suited to their age.
Sessions use practical, accessible tools. Parents get pointers to support the work at home, and teenagers also have a space of their own, with confidentiality respected.
When to get in touch
When a difficulty lasts, when it makes your child unhappy, or when it weighs on daily life, school or family life. If you are unsure, a first conversation is a good way to take stock.
